Oreo Bark
As Irish Boy pointed out to me on the phone, I may not have improved my cooking skills but I have certainly become quite successful at finding recipes - especially ones for him to make!
This is when he has to remind himself of all the reasons he does love me!
Anywho…We have to supply The Boy’s classroom with a snack once a month and I made Puppy Chow for August. So, now I am on the hunt for something else and I found this recipe for Oreo Bark.
First you gotta crush up the Oreos

Then you melt the white chocolate

The you mix the melted chocolate with the Oreos

Then you schmear the mix onto wax paper in a half sheet pan and let set - I threw mine in the chest freezer!
Then I took a mallet to it…man that felt so good! I am thinking I should make this more often just so I can use the mallet ![]()

Then I put it in a big baggie and threw it in the pantry for the kids.
Then I got yelled at when Irish Boy came home from work. As you may have read we have gone back to Phase 1 of SB. Well, when you put a bag of Oreo Bark in a pantry it tends to make the whole pantry smell like white chocolate. And what is the ONLY kind of chocolate that Irish Boy likes? Yup, white chocolate! (Yes, I know most of us find this to be impossible and I often question if he is human. Chocolate should be a food group!)
